In addition to being an incredible folk roots-rock band, the Adam Ezra Group are genuinely great people who do whatever it takes to maintain a connection with people through music. With tour dates canceled early on in 2020 due to Covid, AEG brainstormed a creative solution to share their music with fans. From March 13th, 2020 to July 25th, 2021, they livestreamed concerts for 500 consecutive nights with more than 15 million viewers watching. Now known as The Gathering Series, the livestreams were coupled with more than 80 live shows performed in backyards, parking lots, and parks. They also came up with a way to carry on their 12th annual music festival – The Ramble – which raises funds to support ending veteran homelessness through providing dignified and safe housing. In a typical year, thousands of fans flock to the festival but, due to the pandemic, that wasn’t an option in 2021. Instead, the band incorporated the event into The Gathering Series and put on a 24-hour, non-stop livestream. They broke previous fundraising records and had tens of thousands of people from all over the world watching.

The group is now working on a new recording series, dubbed The Album Project. Releases to date include “All Right Today”, “Switching to Whiskey”, and “Devil’s Kiss”. Other recent releases include “Alive” co-written with guitarist Todd Mihan and “High Desert Woman” featuring Grammy winner Jerry Douglas. The Northeast Regional Folk Alliance just named Adam “Creator of the Year” for The Gathering concert series and, last October, AEG was named “Male Act of the Year” and “Digital Performer of the Year” at the 2021 New England Music Awards.

Hailing from Boston, you must remember the song “The Devil Went Down to Boston?” Well, this is what the band behind that song has been up to lately. We’re big fans and know you will be too (if you aren’t already) if you attend this show!
