Higher Ground: A Tribute to the Superstars of Soul delivers the very best of vintage soul, celebrating iconic artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Aretha Franklin, and many more.

Founded in 2023, this 18-member band has quickly built a powerful live presence, performing for 2,500 people at the Cross Insurance Center, selling out Sun Tiki, packing Vinegar Hill twice, and headlining Portland House of Music, Aura (drawing over 300 attendees), and Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues.

Higher Ground is thrilled to return to Vinegar Hill for the third year in a row, kicking off the first stop on our 2026 Summer of Soul tour. Come groove with us.
