Welcome to Direct from Nashville: Songwriters in the Round!
A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit Sweetser in support of mental health awareness.
Join us for an unforgettable intimate evening of music and storytelling, featuring hit making and next breakthrough artists & songwriters straight from Music City – as we welcome Plumb, Luke Sheets and Lacy Green to the stage! (More on each of these talented folks below.)
Through thoughtful curation with our Tennessee colleagues, we are bringing a blend of some of Nashville’s established hit-making and next “breakthrough” artists & songwriters to Maine for this signature event series, to experience their unique talent, creativity, and the power of storytelling through music. The talent selected for this series have collectively:
- charted #1 hits (across multiple genres of music),
- been featured everywhere from intimate Nashville stages (such as The Bluebird Café, The Listening Room, 3rd and Lindsley, etc.) to the 90,000-seat Wembley Stadium in London, and
- written for, opened for, shared the stage with and otherwise collaborated with a veritable list of accomplished cross-genre Grammy, CMA and other award-winning acts – e.g. from Billy Joel, Charles Kelley (Lady A), Faith Hill, Gary Clark Jr., Katy Perry, Little Big Town and Phoebe Bridgers to Pink, Sheryl Crow, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Tim McGraw, Walker Hayes and Zac Brown Band … just to name a few!
This is an intimate in-person event as most songwriters rounds are, allowing the audience to feel up close and personal with each of the artists / songwriters (behind some of the hits you love!), as they perform solo acoustic (one after the other “in a round”) – but often joining in with each other adding harmonies and/or contributing guitar / piano riffs, etc. A lot of the fun comes through the “living room vibe” of the writers discussing how and why they wrote the songs, their storytelling, and their interactions.
These types of sell out events are a mainstay in the Nashville music community … but now brought to our doorstep here in Maine. We look forward to your joining us for this unique opportunity and evening to remember! *Please note that this is a traditional Nashville “listening room” style show and will kindly expect conversations be kept to a whisper out of respect to the talent on stage and audience.
