Eilen Jewell’s journey is a testament to resilience and reinvention. Following a tumultuous period where her marriage, band, and career seemed to crumble before her eyes, she found herself in a remote mountain cabin, unsure if music would be part of her life again. Reflecting on this time, Jewell realized the need to take control, to steer her life in a direction that truly mattered to her.

With her ninth studio album, “Get Behind The Wheel,” Jewell firmly grasps the reins of her destiny. Produced alongside Will Kimbrough, the album ventures into psychedelic territory while retaining Jewell’s signature vintage roots-noir. Through raw, emotionally charged tracks, she delves into themes of grief, loss, and ultimately, redemption. Despite the darkness, there’s an underlying sense of hope and renewal—a phoenix rising from the ashes—as Jewell navigates the complexities of human connection and the quest for home.
