Mike Maurice and Adam Monaco first crossed paths twelve years ago as strangers on the street: a Philly musician passing through town searching for a place to play, and a Maine busker juggling on Congress Street. Numbers were exchanged over the sound of traffic and car horns—and ever since, they’ve been swapping gigs, sharing bills, and building a musical bridge between Portland and Philadelphia.
Their long-running musical friendship even led to an improvisational side project called Pianolin… and audiences might just catch a glimpse of it live.
The night will begin with a special short opening set from a few of Mike’s piano students, celebrating the next generation of local musicians.

Maine-based artist Mike Maurice brings together the emotional honesty of folk and the dynamic sweep of modern indie songwriting. His music lives in contrast – tender yet powerful, with lyrical writing that’s both introspective & deeply relatable. On his latest single “This Old House” (featuring Danny Black of Gregory Alan Isakov and Good Old War), Maurice explores memory, change, and belonging with a voice that feels timeless and deeply human.
After years of travel and songs shaped in live rooms, Mike is currently working on his next full-length record, projected for release in 2027.
The project continues an ongoing collaboration with Zavier Walker, whose harmonies and instrumentation have become a defining part of the sound emerging both onstage and in the studio.
