Originating in Nantucket, the series later moved to Bridge Street Live before finding its home at Vinegar Hill. Since its debut in 2010, this annual event has delighted audiences with its unique blend of humor and hometown pride. Featuring top comedic talent from both cities, this playful clash of styles continues to captivate, proving that laughter truly is the best rivalry.

Richie Minervini is a legendary figure in the comedy world, best known as the former owner of Long Island’s iconic East Side Comedy Club—the very launching pad for comedy giants like Jay Leno, Eddie Murphy, Rosie O’Donnell, Kevin James, and Ray Romano. With his deep ties across television, film, and live entertainment, Richie has long been a trusted voice and familiar face in the business.
A seasoned performer, Richie has graced the stage at top-tier venues including the Riviera in Las Vegas, the Borgata in Atlantic City, Reno’s finest clubs, and renowned theatres like the Paramount and the Delray Beach Center for the Arts. His comedy has traveled across seas, making him a favorite on luxury cruise lines and at high-profile corporate events. Whether he’s headlining comedy clubs or major casinos, Richie’s rapid-fire delivery and clean, sharp wit make him a standout act for any audience.
His television appearances include “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee,” “The Rosie Show,” and a recurring role on “The King of Queens.” On the big screen, Richie’s film credits read like a who’s who of studio comedy hits: Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Mall Cop 2, Zookeeper (where he voiced the Ostrich), Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, Here Comes the Boom, and Under New Management.
