The Stray Horses – This Maine based band is dedicated to bringing the ever vital and visceral music of Neil Young to life. From the early acoustic gems, Buffalo Springfield epics, the “Ditch Trilogy” records and places as varied as “Way down in the Rust bucket”, “Zuma” beach and of course the landmark LPs “After the Goldrush” and “Harvest” and everywhere in between, The Stray Horses aim to capture the restless spirit, passion and willfully and brilliantly erratic musical icon that is Neil Young. Taking inspiration in equal parts from two of Neil’s legendary collaborators: Crazy Horse and The Stray Gators – the band often performs entire Young albums as part of their shows – which so far include: Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, On the Beach, Tonight’s the Night, Time Fades Away, Comes a Time and Harvest.
